What Makes Oak Brook Unique?
- Drury Lane - Every season you can experience breathtaking Broadway classics, top-rated musicals, hilarious comedies and unforgettable concert events in their spacious proscenium style theatre with plush seating for nearly a thousand patrons.
- OakBrook Mall - Oakbrook Center is one of the most prestigious and striking outdoor shopping destinations in the Chicagoland area. It's the largest open-air premier shopping center in the country! Always on the cutting edge of fashion, Oakbrook Center was voted the #1 shopping destination by Illinois shoppers. With six major department stores and more than 160 upscale shops and restaurants – set amid lush gardens and flowing fountains – it's a spectacular outdoor shopping experience.
- Graue Mill - In 1852, Fred Graue entered his mill and turned the wheel that opened the sluice gates outside. Water from Salt Creek rushed into the millrace and the wooden waterwheel began to turn for the first time. It would turn the machinery that would grind grain for the next seventy years. Graue Mill and Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the only operating waterwheel gristmill in Illinois.
